Produces radiographic and diagnostic studies, and mammograms under the clinical direction of a Radiologist. Takes responsibility for film quality, patient care, safety, sterile technique and providing education for staff and students. Participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations. Must meet current MQSA (FDA) regulations for a practicing mammographer. Must meet ACR Stereotactic biopsy technologist requirements for Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. Must be cross trained in Stereotactic biopsy and have currently 3 CEU every three years with 5 stereotactic breast biopsy procedures under supervision of a qualified physician or technologist with participating in 24 stereotactic biopsy procedure every two years for re qualifying.
