Produces ultrasonic images and participates in special studies under the clinical direction of a Radiologist. Takes responsibility for image quality, patient care, safety, sterile technique and providing education for staff and students. Participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations. Participates in the ultrasound on-call rotation.
Education, Licensure, Experience, and Other Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school or program of Ultrasonography or Radiologic Technology with on-the job training to meet qualifications
- Current ARRT registration with up to date continuing education credits or registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical SONOGRAPHER with up to date continuing education credits
- 1 year of Clinical Sonography experience
- Registered in two ultrasound sub-specialties or registered in one ultrasound sub-specialty.
