Lead Nuclear Med Tech

Organizes the Nuclear Medicine section of the Imaging Services Department. Oversees quality control, methods/procedures development, and equipment maintenance and calibration. Works indirectly with the RSO. Assists Physicist and RSO with the management and control of radioactive isotopes and regulatory requirements related to radioactive isotopes.Produces nuclear medicine images and performs related procedures under the clinical direction of a Radiologist. Takes responsibility for image quality, patient care, safety, sterile technique and providing education for staff and students. Participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations.

Education, Licensure, Experience, and Other Requirements:

• Associate Degree from an accredited school or program of Nuclear Medicine
• Current registration with American Registry of Nuclear Medicine Tech or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board with up to date continuing education credits
• 2 years in acute care setting is preferred
• 2 years of experience in Healthcare / Medical - Nuclear Medicine

Salary Information:

• $26.10 - $40.46/hour
• Non-Exempt
